All of our students carry Point Cards.
Students keep their Point Cards with them at all times and take them wherever they go. If the student is able, he or she should write their daily goals on their Point Card every day.
At the end of each class period, the teacher should attend to the Point Card of each student, assigning the points and giving meaningful feedback in regard to the student's performance. Teachers DO NOT negotiate with students about the points that they have earned. Teachers assign the points that the student earned, being fair, firm and consistent and based on the behaviors and work habits that the teacher observed for that segment of time. It is essential that the teacher fill the point card out in the presence of the student after every class/segment/activity so that meaningful feedback can be received by the student before the next class period or activity.
