IEPs - The Individualized Education Program
The IEP should be the first stop for every teacher in determining their students' learning needs. Every student in your class has one and you should be extremely familiar with every aspect of every child's IEP.
Our IEPs are maintained using the TIENET system. The link to TIENET can be found on the Online Resources page of ACORN (the District Intranet.) You log-in to TIENET using the same log-in you use to access your computer workstation.

IEP Goals
The Goals section of the IEP is one of the most important parts with which you should become exceedingly familiar. It is here that both academic and behavioral goals have been set for the student. Be diligent about going into TIENET to mark mastery. It is the mastery of these goals that will weigh heavily when the IEP committee meets to determine the best educational placement for the student.
You may or have not been a part of the committee that developed the current IEP for your student but, you will be on the committee that determines the level of mastery on the current IEP goals which then determines the most appropriate placement for your student in the future.
